In the Beginning The Roxborough Beach Spa was just a vision in the head of the director Janice Lugg-Kalynuik, as the opportunity presented itself with a dilapidated beach front build near the town of St. Ann’s Bay St. Ann Jamaica she saw what no one else could have visioned.
With her Husband Joseph at her side and the ability to build up the beachfront property the vision became a reality so April 15, 2011 the doors opened with just a one room spa and The Roxborough Beach Spa was born with hard work and determination.
We have come along way now with Specialized services, locally sourced products, 6 Therapists, Grounds keeper, Housekeeper, 5 Treatment rooms that open directly onto the Caribbean Sea, Private Villa offsite Services, we have unmatched surroundings and service offerings to you in our Rustic Holistic Environment, Come hear the waves and let go the troubles of your day
Meet Our Founder
After finishing High School Janice went to the Heart School of Cosmetology and many different certified courses in the massage therapy field from Hair, Nail technician, Body massage, Bamboo massage, Facials, Peels, and Cavitation Body Contouring, she then pursued a career with the Pegasus Hotel in Kingston Jamaica then to travel and see the world in the cruise industry with Stiener of England and was employed with Holland America Cruise Lines onboard the Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and the Prinsendam for many years as assistant manager and Nail Technician.
Years later, after a lustrous career at Renova Spa at the Riu Hotel in Ocho Rios and Bahia Hotel, as technical supervisor moving to Assistant Manager then gaining the Title of Renova Spa Manager. Moving on to the Earthworks Spa, and then to Breath Spa and wellness center. Janice then realized her passion for Ownership.
Janice practiced Esthetics for over twelve years and in 2011, she opened The Roxborough Beach Spa. She is currently the Spa Director, but also takes clients several days a week. She has a passion for helping clients achieve their goals and loves building relationships with them. She offers facials, chemical peels, waxing Known as the “Queen of Wax”, tinting, and massages. In April of 2011, Janice, and her husband Joseph, opened The
Roxborough Beach Spa right on the beach front in St. Ann’s Bay. It was a dream come true They are so proud to employ some of the bests Estheticians, Nail Technicians, and Massage Therapists in the industry. They strive not only to exceed expectations with. their beauty services, but with their client relationships as well.
